The cenotaph in National Heroes Square, Bridgetown, commemorates those from Barbados who lost their lives serving in both World Wars.
Three plaques commemorate those who lost their lives in the First World War, with one of those plaques commemorating soldiers in West Indies regiments. A fourth plaque commemorates those wgo lost their lives in the Second World War.
Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a list of names, and the plaques are not easily legible in the available photos.
One soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment originated from Bridgetown, and it is presumed that he is named on this memorial.
